David McKay Company, [1929].8vo. Publisher's green cloth, color pictorial label to front board, spine lettered in gilt. Illustrated by Beatrix Potter with color frontispiece, tipped-in plates, and in-text illustrations. Original illustrated dust jacket. Cloth slipcase.
FIRST AND LIMITED EDITION, WITH THE RARE DUST JACKET SIGNED BY BEATRIX POTTER. Number 62 of 100 copies, signed by Beatrix Potter, "none of which will be offered for sale."
Condition: Slightest bit of edgewear. Dust jacket unclipped (no price listed as issued), discrete reinforcements to verso, some wear.
