FIRST EDITION, IN THE FIRST STATE DUST JACKET. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY MILLER on the half-title: "To Marshall A. Best / Arthur Miller."

Marshall A. Best (1901-1982) was an editor at The Viking Press. During his decades-long career, he became one of the firm's chief editors, and eventually served as chairman of the executive committee.

Condition: Cloth sunned and some minor soiling. Dust jacket unclipped ($2.50), spine panel chipped with loss (approximately 5 x 12 mm), some soiling and rubbing, worn along folds, some chipping and other edgewear.
