C. S. Lewis. Christian Behaviour: A further series of Broadcast Talks. London: Geoffrey Bles, [1943].8vo. Publisher's orange cloth stamped in black. Original color pictorial dust jacket.
FIRST EDITION. PRESENTATION COPY, SIGNED BY LEWIS on the front free endpaper. Inscribed by the recipient on the front pastedown: "Given by the author on the / occasion of dining with him / Thursday Evening June 24th 1943."
Kenneth Peter Storer (1924-2007) read English at University College, Oxford, where Lewis also studied as an undergraduate. Lewis would take English tutorials for University College students as the school had no English fellow at the time. Under these circumstances, Storer met Lewis, and the two developed a friendship. Storer dined with Lewis on a number of occasions, where Lewis gifted the student some of his signed works.
Condition: Dust jacket unclipped (2s 6d), minor wear, three discrete tape repairs to verso.
