14 volumes, 4to. Publisher's olive-green or dark teal colored cloth elaborately stamped in blind, spine lettered in gilt.

Contains the first appearance of A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations.

Condition: Spines lightly sunned, a few small stains, corners a bit bumped and rubbed, spine ends pushed. Front hinge of vol. I reinforced, rear hinge starting; some other hinges cracked but holding; front cover of Vol. XIII detached; Vol. XIV apparently recased. Endpapers foxed; textblocks lightly and evenly toned. Bookseller's ticket to front pastedown of each volume.
