Inscribed by the author to his son, Hulbert Burroughs, "[arrow pointing to a small doodle of a shrugging man] / Dear Hulbert - / This is the guy / who was Lost / on Venus / D. B." Octavo. 318, [1, list of titles], [1, blank] pages. Frontispiece and four additional plates by J. Allen St. John. Publisher's blue cloth, spine and front lettered in red; all text block edges trimmed, top edge stained red; map endpapers by Burroughs; original illustrated dust jacket. Hint of wear at spine ends and board edges; small spot of pale discoloration toward head of front joint; corners just barely tapped. Endpapers and text block softly dulled.
