Frontispiece and four additional plates by J. Allen St. John. Publisher's gray cloth, spine and front lettered in black and decorated in red and black; all text block edges trimmed, top edge stained red; original illustrated dust jacket. Spine ends slightly pushed and worn; minor loss to black stamping at front ornament; hint of wear to board edges. Endpapers and text block softly dulled with age. Jacket lightly rubbed, with a few small chips and some nicking at spine and flap fold ends; folds creased. Very good. Zeuschner, p. 381. From the Albert E. Willis Collection of Edgar Rice Burroughs
