8vo. Color frontispiece and others by Tom Lea. Original brown buckram-backed mottled paper over boards with gold flecks, silver paper spine label printed in black; with an extra silver spine label tipped-in at back; publisher's original black board slipcase with flecks of silver.

LIMITED "SIERRA MADRE EDITION," number 177 of 265 copies SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR. This copy without the extra set of illustrations present in some copies. Adams notes that "this fascinating book on lost mines contains some interesting material on the Apache Kid."

Condition: Spine label a little rubbed and with two corners slightly chipped; just a touch of rubbing to extremities; minor rubbing to slipcase. A fine copy.

Slight push at head of spine; gift inscription on front pastedown; dust jacket with minor wear to spine ends and extremities, and some slight toning along top edge and flap folds.
