James Agee. Small archive of 16 autograph poems, including unpublished poetry. No place, two sheets dated "16? November 1945."

15 pages, including 14 pages on 11 x 8 1/2 inch sheets; 280 x 217 mm (and 1 page on yellow lined paper measuring 12 1/2 x 8 inches; 315 x 202 mm), and 1 page of a bifolium measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches (216 x 140 mm). Also with 3 typed pages on carbon paper (11 x 8 1/2 inch sheets; 280 x 217 mm). Housed in a custom quarter morocco folding case.

JAMES AGEE AUTOGRAPH POEMS. With an AUTOGRAPH NOTE SIGNED on the verso of the bifolium: "Away for week or so will wire changes of address. Please wire immediately any news from Tennessee. Love Jim." The archive includes four poems that appeared in The Collected Poems of James Agee (Houghton Mifflin, 1968), four titled poems that appear complete, four untitled poems with corrections that appear complete, and four rough drafts of poems with deletions and corrections. With an additional seven poems on the three typed sheets.

Condition: Some sheets creased along old folds; mild toning; some edgewear; scattered staining.
