Grace Coolidge: Photograph Inscribed and Signed as First Lady. Gelatin silver matte 4" x 8.75" photograph of the First Lady and white collie, Rob Roy, after her official 1924 White House painting by Howard Chandler Christy. Inscribed and signed on the mat, "To Laura B. Gwathmey, ΠΒΦ, a photograph of the portrait presented to the White House by members of her fraternity and mine, with a Pi Phi salutation, Christmas 1927. Grace Coolidge". Housed in a contemporary gilt wood frame with overall dimensions of 9.25" x 13.75".Condition: Slight silvering along the photograph edges.
