Description
William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody's Wild West and Congress of Rough Riders of the World: One of the Most Graphic French Tour Poster Designs. Circa 1903-1906, by Weiner's, one of the premier European lithographers. Contrary to popular misconception, Cody's Rough Riders were not drawn from Teddy Roosevelt's famous Spanish-American War unit. Cody's Rough Riders first appeared in 1893 and Roosevelt clearly borrowed the name from them. Beautifully custom-framed to 50" x 23.5". From the Collection of the Late Edward C. Gillette.Auction Info
