Description
Uncle Tom's Cabin: Stoneware Mustard Pot. 3.25" tall stoneware container with hand-colored scenes from "Uncle Tom's Cabin" on either side. One side, simply titled "Uncle Tom" shows Simon Legree directing the whipping of a slave, likely resulting in his death, as an angel appears to the right. The other side shows "Uncle Tom & Eva". Tight hairlines on each side, lacking lid, some discoloration near top, but generally quite well-preserved. Very rare.Auction Info
