Description

New York Stock Exchange [NYSE]: Circa 1930 Specialty Desk Lantern. Electrified brass lantern, standing 30" tall. The four-sided top has inserted glass panels on all sides numbered "14". Panels have cracks and one hinge missing. The hinged lid opens to reveal a light bulb socket. Two screws in the base for mounting. The lamp has been rewired. These were deployed at so-called "Specialty Desks" in the Stock Exchange. We include a modern reference book that shows two pictures of such lamps on the floor of the exchange. A unique piece with outstanding display appeal.
