John F. Kennedy Assassination: Secret Service Agent Memorandum Eyewitness Account. Four double-sided memorandum notebook pages (inscribed on both sides), kept by Secret Service agent "Woody" Taylor who was detailed to the White House over the course of many administrations, beginning with JFK. He was part of the Security Team for Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson during the Presidential trip to Texas in November 1963. The entries cover the dates from Nov. 17, 1963 to November 24, 1963. He flew to Houston on the afternoon of the 21st, then flew with the Vice President to Ft. Worth that evening. The initial entries for the 22nd are very brief ("11:30 AM arrive Dallas VP protect. 2:42 PM VP sworn in as pres. on USAF#1 (just now). 6:00 PM Arr. Washington on duty Pres. J. residence."). It appears while flying back to D.C. from Dallas, Taylor decided to record his recollections of the assassination on 2 1/2 pages of the notebook. Headed: "4:50 PM EST", he recalls: "At approx 12:30 PM (Texas time) riding follow up with SA [Secret Agent] Kwett in right front seat, self in left rear seat, with unknown officer from department of public safety, Texas, driving. Just turned corner and heard bang sound out of corner of my eye and off slightly to right rear of our car I noticed what I thought to be a fire cracker going off. However, as we were still moving aprox 15 to 20 miles per hour, I opened door on my side preparing to get out when I heard one more... as my left foot touched the pavement I believe I heard on radio that someone had been shot up ahead.
