[Andrew Jackson] 1834 Hard Times Cartoon. 14.5" x 10.75" lithograph cartoon published in "Downingville" by "Jack Downing." It depicts a hellish situation where there are signs of "Suspended Payments," a "Widow's & Orphans" sale, and a "Savings Institution" now transformed to a "Losing Institution."Condition: Foxing, mounted to board, fold lines, minor loss at folds with tears and small areas of border loss. A "grim" picture of the times!
