Andrew Jackson: Pair of Medals. Listed as AJACK-1828-2, 38mm, white metal. The obverse reads, "General Jackson/ The/ Gallant &/ Successful/ Defender Of/ New Orleans &/ Candidate For The/ Presidency Of The/ United States/ Of America/ 1828." The reverse features an eagle with a US shield with arrows and an olive branch in its talons. A scroll in the eagle's beak is inscribed "E Pluribus Unum" and twenty-four stars follow the edge. It has been holed for suspension. AJACK-1828-10, 36mm, white metal. The obverse features a bust of "Andrew Jackson" facing the right, with the reverse featuring a scene of the "Battle of New Orleans."

Condition: AJACK-1828-2 has some rough-textured oxidation and tarnish. The medal has a bend by the suspension hole, and there are scratches and small dents throughout, particularly along the rim. AJACK-1828-10 has some light oxidation and tarnish but retains some of its silvering. Minor scratching is throughout. A small gouge is on the rim at six o'clock and eleven o'clock. In overall great condition, this pair would display well.
