Alf Landon: The Classic 1¼" "Land on Washington" Button. This beloved variety is on every button collector's "top ten" list of attractive and creative designs. Most, if not all, of the several dozen known examples seem to have come from the legendary collection of Andrew and son Ed Veleber. Ed loved to tell of accompanying his father to visit button manufacturers and vendors during that era and coming away with pockets bulging with buttons. A significant percentage of this variety will have a little bit of foxing, but this choice example will satisfy the most demanding collector. An excellent specimen. No minimum bid.
