Description
Signed Portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The regal pair in matching frames each has a sight size of 15.75" x 21.5" and an overall size of 18.75" x 24.5". The queen's portrait is signed "Elizabeth R/ 1953" at the bottom. The photograph was taken by Royal Court photographer "Dorothy Wilding" and pictures the queen on the year of her coronation. She wears the diamond diadem first created for King George IV to wear during his coronation. A COA by University Archives accompanies the queen's signature. Prince Philip's signature appears at the center of the bottom of his portrait, with the date "1953." He's dressed in the uniform of Marshal of the Royal Air Force. The court photographer name "Baron" can be seen in the bottom right corner.Condition: Both pieces have minor toning. The Queen's portrait has some stray dark marks in the field. Very good condition over all. These have not been inspected outside of their frames.
