National Intelligencer (Washington, DC): Detailed Official Report of the Dred Scott Decision. 21.25" x 25.5", 36 total pages. Lot of nine (9) newspapers, the National Intelligencer (Washington, DC) dated between May 30 and June 23, 1857 with the long and very detailed official report of the DRED SCOTT DECISION by the US Supreme Court. This notable decision ruled that slaves were property and did not have any rights "...that a White man need respect...". A very long detailed official text of the Dred Scott decision by the USA Supreme Court. Great to have this decision in a Washington, DC newspaper, the location where the actual decision was arrived at. Very important event in African-American, judicial, and slavery history.Condition: Disbound, edge roughness. Overall very good.
