Description

Revolutionary War: 1782 "Freeman's Journal". July 24, 1782 issue of "The Freeman's Journal: Or, North-American Intelligencer." Philadelphia, approximately 10" x 16". The front page has a lengthy op-ed piece concerning the current state of affairs and how the cost of the war has affected the value of currency. Page three has a short article on John Adams' activities in the Hague negotiating a trade agreement, a summary of prizes taken on the high seas, and some residual British resistance in Long Island. The paper advises them to change their tune to: "Huzza for the Congress. the de-el take the king."

Condition: Scattered foxing. Very good.
