Description

[Abraham Lincoln]: 1864 Anti-McClellan Cartoon. A Currier and Ives lithograph published in 1864, titled: "The Political 'Siamese' Twins/ The Offspring of Chicago Miscegenation." (a reference to Cheng & Eng). McClellan is tied to his running mate, Pendleton, a peace candidate opposed to prosecution of the war. Two Union soldiers reluctantly abandon their former commander and pledge to vote for Uncle Abe. The sponsors of the Chicago platform, Vallandigham and Seymour, look on in approval.

Condition: Very slight and minor aging, overall in extra fine condition. Size is 13.5" x 17".
