Description

Plains Dance Stick with Horse Effigy, c. 1850. As evidenced by the remaining areas of bark, this 40" stick was carved from a solitary branch. The horse head's features are very graphic with its eyes, ears, nostrils, mouth and mane being carefully detailed. It also wears a brass and leather harness. In excellent condition with only minimal wear from age and use. The Michael Ward Collection of Western Americana
