Publisher's full black cloth, front and spine lettered in red with publisher's device stamped in red on front. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed; top edge stained red. Spine slightly skewed; minimal shelf wear at extremities of binding; very light rubbing to boards; top edge a bit dusty. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block. Previous owner signature to front pastedown; loss of red coloring at top corner of front free endpaper where other markings effaced. Some wear along edges and folds of jacket; with minimal paper loss at spine and flap fold ends and a small crack appearing at front flap fold; closed tear, approximately 3" long, at front panel; general toning and light rubbing; flaps clipped. Four masking-tape repairs and reinforcements at verso. Near fine. Originally published in Britain in 1930 under the title Knight Templar.

shelf wear and bumping to binding; spine ends a bit pushed. Normal
age toning to edges and interior of text block; top edge a bit
dusty. Endpapers unevenly toned; previous owner signature to front
pastedown; stamp at rear free endpaper. Mild rubbing and soiling to
exposed panels of jacket; a little bit of edge wear causing some
soft creasing, short tears, and color loss along edges; one tiny
chip at base of front flap fold; loss to surface of paper at front
flap fold; flaps clipped. Near fine. Originally published in
Britain in 1930 under the title She Was a Lady.
