Description

Peter Elias Bean and Haden Harrison Edwards Document Signed. One page, 8" x 12.75", "Republic of Texas, County of Nacogdoches", July 18, 1837, transferring one "Lot of Ground lying and being in or adjoining the City of Nacogdoches." Bean was a U.S. citizen who served as an officer in the Mexican Army; during the Texas Revolution, he chose not to participate. After the revolution, he remained in Nacogdoches until 1843, when he returned to Mexico. Edwards was a veteran of the revolution and several Indian wars. The document is toned with some weakness at the folds.
