Large quarto (10.75 x 8.5 inches; 273 x 215 mm.). [2, blank], [2, limitation leaf], x, 318, [2, blank] pages. Sixteen color plates (including frontispiece) mounted on cream paper, with descriptive tissue guards, and twenty-one drawings in black and white. Bound by Fred Smithaden in later quarter dark green levant morocco over lighter green levant morocco boards, front board decoratively stamped in white, spine stamped in gilt, and with green morocco onlays, top edge gilt, marbled endleaves. Spine sunned, white-stamping on front cover faded, some soiling to front board, mild thumbsoiling to rear board. Very good. Housed in green morocco-tipped slipcase. Latimore and Haskell p. 52.
