Apollo 9 Flown Engraved Spoon Originally from the Collection of Mission Commander Jim McDivitt. This 6" long Silco Stainless teaspoon is engraved across the top of the handle, "CDR/ IX". This mission, the third of the Apollo series, was crucial in that it was the first space test of the complete Apollo spacecraft. McDivitt, Scott, and Schweickart performed many important tasks and duties during their ten days in space; they proving that the equipment was capable of orbital rendezvous and docking, a prerequisite to landing on the moon. Excellent condition.

Included with this lot is a signed Certificate of Authenticity from McDivitt: "I certify that this 'CDR' spoon flew in space aboard Apollo 9, was used by me and is from my personal collection."
