Mexican Style Spurs: Spanish Or Portuguese Origin.
Heavy pair of spurs made by M. Casal (stamped on the buckle) of possible Spanish or Portuguese origin, particularly based on the ankle chains attached near the base of the neck. Ornate engravings on the arms and neck. Also of note is the Federal era type rowels. A beautiful pair of spurs.
