Description

Lot of 7 U.S. Military Combination and Maintenance Tools.

A well-presented group of seven [mostly] U.S. military small-arms maintenance tools, including various combination punch, screwdriver, and bore tools typically issued with U.S. service rifles and guns of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The set features a folding three-blade combination wrench, a Model 1918-marked tool, a two-blade U.S.-stamped punch driver, an intricate bore or cleaning worm-type tool, and three "L" shaped armorer's screwdrivers. Several pieces retain faint U.S. ordnance markings and most with original military blue finish.

Please note: Such tools were indispensable for soldiers in the field, allowing them to disassemble, clean, and maintain their weapons under rugged conditions, essential for the reliability of firearms in combat.

Condition: Above average overall. Surfaces show light wear and patina from service use, with several tools retaining visible bluing and crisp edges. Steel is smooth and clean with no heavy corrosion or pitting. A fine and representative grouping of U.S. ordnance-issue gun tools illustrating practical field maintenance during service life.
