Smith & Wesson Top-Break Double Action Revolver Marked USX.

Serial no. 182092 [butt and right side of frame], .38 caliber, 31/4inch ribbed barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. Case-hardened trigger. Left side of frame marked: USX and right side stamped 182092. Checkered factory hard rubber grip panels. Grip safety. Together with photocopy letter from REA Express [Certificate] dated October 17, 1961 certifying that revolver, S&W 38, #182092 engraved on the left side "USX" was in service of United States Express Company and its subsidiaries American Railway Express Company, Railway Express Agency, Inc. and REA Express. [signed by Superintendent Supplies, V.R. Morss].

Condition: Good. Retaining traces of finish in protected areas, the balance a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Minor scuffs present to grips. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
