Spanish-American War: State of Massachusetts Shooting Metal Set.These beautifully struck bronze metals are all identical in form, with 29-mm planchets featuring the state seal of Massachusetts on the obverse and dated 1898; the reverse is blank on all examples. Each is maker-marked on the pendant Hayes Bros. The four pendants include: 1st Class Marksman, 2nd Class Marksman, 3rd Class Marksman and Sharpshooter.
