1961 Houston Open Shoot First Place Trophy Presented to Joe Bowman.

11 1/4-inches in overall height. Features a 4 1/2-inch cowboy / marksman on top. 6 1/4-inch wooden base with plaque reading: 1ST / HOUSTON OPEN / SHOOT / 2-12-61 / JOE BOWMAN. Joe Bowman, known as "The Straight Shooter," was a renowned Houston-based marksman celebrated for his exceptional trick-shooting skills and contributions to Western heritage. Born in 1925 in Johnson City, Tennessee, he moved to Houston in 1937, where he developed a passion for firearms and Western culture. With his Houston background, I'm sure he was a fan favorite at this event.

Condition: Good. Overall showing cracking to the figure, scuffs and dings to the wood and some pitting to the plaque. From Joe Bowman "The Straight Shooter Collection".
