Description

Two U.S. Navy Officer Service Jackets Belonging to Rear Admiral Walter G. Thompson (1922-2018).

The jackets represent each end of Thompson's long Naval career with one uniform with the cuff rank insignia of a Captain and marked "Thompson" in ink on the sleeve lining; and a service tunic named and dated 1941 with the cuff rank of a Rear Admiral. Thompson was considered to be the father of U.S. Navy Public Affairs.

Condition: Very good.
