Description
Civil War: Lot of Three Hat and Cap Insignia.Includes: 1) M1851 U.S. army staff officers' cap badge, embroidered gold wire on velvet. Mounted on tin with a polished cotton backing of which approximately 70% remains. 3 ¼ x 2 ¼-inches. 2) M1851 Hardee hat insignia, embroidered gold bullion on velvet. Mounted on tin with a polished cloth backing. Wire mounting loops. 80% cotton backing remaining. 2 ¼ x 3-inches. 3) M1851 gilt stamped brass Engineers' cap insignia. 1 ¾ x 1 ¼-inches. Brass wire mounting loops.
Condition: All examples in very good or better condition unless noted.
