Description
Lot of Ten Early 19th Marksman's Proficiency Badges.The lot includes two silver MARKSMAN A badges, 44 x 19 mm, pinback, no maker's marks; a bronze FIRST CLASS marksman badge, pinback, 55 x 10 mm; bronze SECOND CLASS marksman badge, pinback, 55 x 10 mm; silver PISTOL SHOT FIRST CLASS badge, pinback, 44 x 9 mm; silver MARKSMAN badge with 56 x 10 mm pinback pendant from which a 30 x 30 mm cross is suspended. Three additional badges are included housed in their original cardboard boxes as issued by Rock Island Arsenal, Circa 1908-1912. The badges include a silver MARKSMAN badge, pinback, 56 x 10 mm, engraved on the reverse "FRANK HALLENBECK / Feb. 25, 1910"; bronze MARKSMAN badge, pinback, 56 x 10 mm; and a gilt PISTOL EXPERT and PISTOL MARKSMAN badge.
Condition: All examples in very good or better condition.
