Description
Scarce Blued The Protector Palm Pistol by Chicago Firearms Co.Serial no. 5552 all matching [cylinder, cover and case], .32 extra short rimfire caliber, 1 1/2-inch two-staged barrel. Blued finish. Checkered hard rubber side panels and grip pad. Marked CHICAGO FIRE ARMS CO. / CHICAGO. ILL. And THE PROTECTOR obverse with patent dates. According to Flayderman's Guide, about 12,800 made, with 1000 manufactured in blue. [see 8A-038]. This is one of the nicest palm pistols we have seen in blue, a great addition to any collection.
Condition: Fine to excellent for this model and configuration. Retaining approximately 80-85% finish with scattered signs of wear and thinning into a dark patina. Side panels and grip pad, very good. Bore good, action crisp.
