Description
U.S. Spurs (US-21): Rare Dolphin Spurs.Exquisite pair of officers buckle & stud "Dolphin" dress spurs with numerous interesting features. The neck is riveted onto the arms, as was often done. But the ends of the arms are also riveted on indicating that the strap plates could also be switched out. The most interesting feature is that whereas a leather or chain strap typically goes beneath the arch in front of the heel, here there are brass bands that can be bent under the arch. The arms are ornately decorated as well. One would be hard pressed to find a finer pair.
