Description
Cased Colt Blackpowder Signature Series Whitneyville Hartford Dragoon Revolver.Serial no. 1197A [barrel, frame and triggerguard] and 197A [cylinder and butt], .44 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY. Left side of frame stamped: COLT'S / PATENT. Etched cylinder scene. Silver-plated gripstraps. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Contained in factory fitted pasteboard display box. Literature and outer cardboard box also included.
Condition: Very good. Overall showing light handling wear. Some trivial staining to silver plating on grip straps. Action crisp. Bright bore. Some signs of storage wear present to boxes. From the Collection of James Schubert.
