Description

Russian High Altitude Compensation Suit with GSh-6A Helmet, Gloves, Overgloves, Boots, and Original Wooden Container, Circa 1980s. Used by Soviet pilots and still in use today, designed for long-duration, high-altitude flights. The suit bears zippers and numerous string ties as used for size adjustment. Two hoses that jut from the torso are made to connect to the cockpit where the suit's pressure is controlled. Bladders extend down each leg and arm. Storage bag included. The helmet (rarely included with suit) includes the oxygen hose and communications cables. Black leather gloves and heavy overgloves (mittens) come with this lot as well as the suit carry bag and 13.5" diameter x 14" wooden crate. Suit, gloves, and boots in like-new condition. Helmet shows wear.
