Description
Plant's Mfg. Co. Front-Loading First Model Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 14 [frame under grips and barrel flat], .42 caliber, 6-inch ribbed octagonal barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Brass frame with case-hardened hammer and spur trigger. M&B (Merwin & Bray) stamped to left side of barrel. Top of barrel marked: PLANT'S MFG. CO. NEW HAVEN. Smooth hardwood grip panels.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuffs and scratches present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
