Description
Factory Engraved Colt 1861 Navy Percussion Revolver.Serial no. 37696, .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with New York address. Matching serial numbers on barrel lug, frame, triggerguard and butt all with dot indicating presentation handling. Profusely vine and scroll engraved throughout. Wolf's head on hammer. Silver-plated finish. Naval engagement scene on cylinder which is marked 696. Checkered one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1873.
Estate of Kenneth Alan Hill, Sr., Fort Worth, Texas.
Condition: Excellent. Retaining approximately 80-90% finish with some losses on barrel above the loading lever. Minor spotting left side of barrel lug. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
