Description
Sing Sing Prison Marked Colt Detective Special Double Action Revolver.Serial no. 411478 [frame and crane], .38 caliber, 2-inch barrel with fixed front sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. DCS020 and Rampant Colt to left side of frame. Backstrap marked: SING SING PRISON NO. 8 [see image online]. Checkered hardwood grip panels with inlaid Colt medallions.
Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 40-50% of a thinning finish, with scattered areas of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuffs, dings and smooth checkering present to wood. Action crisp. Bright bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
