Description
Rare Colt Commando Model Double Action Revolver.Serial no. 397 [frame and crane], .38 caliber, 4-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Parkerized finish. Number 8 stamped near the top on left side of frame. Checkered hardwood grip panels with inlaid Colt medallions. Manufactured in 1942, within the first few months.
Note: Colt only manufactured this model from 1942-1945.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 96-98% finish with some thinning to relief edges, light handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Crisp action. Bright bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
