Description
Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 Double Action Revolver.Serial no. S236447 [frame], .44 Magnum caliber, 8 1/4-inch barrel with serrated fixed front sight and micrometer adjust rear sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Checkered walnut grip panels with inlaid S&W medallions. Introduced circa 1961, the 29-2 gained fame as "Dirty Harry's gun" in Clint Eastwood's 1971 film.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 96-98% finish with light handling wear and very fine spots of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Noticeable loss to the back of panels. Crisp action. Strong bore. Tom Mixon Collection
