Description
Colt 1878 Frontier Six Shooter Model Double Action Revolver.Serial no. 38628 [butt], .44-40 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Rampant Colt to left side of frame. Checkered factory hard rubber grip panels. Lanyard ring. Manufactured in 1898.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear and patches of pitting. Scuffs and scratches present to grips. Action good. Lightly pitted bore. Nelson A. Faerber Collection.
