Description
D.F.C. Inspected Colt Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. 54465 [frame, triggerguard and butt] and 4465 [cylinder], .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Nickel-plated finish. Top of barrel marked: COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. Three-line, three-date patent to left side of frame. D.F.C. inspected. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1880.
Condition: Very good as refinished. Retaining approximately 70-80% re-nickel with noticeable areas of age, handling wear and patches of pitting. Scattered dings present to wood, with some loss at corners. Action functions, but needs adjustment. Moderately pitted bore.
