Spanish-American War: Three Campaign Medals and Colonels' Collar Rank Insignia Identified to Brig. General William M. Wallace.

Includes: 1) Civil War Army Campaign medal, bronze, 34 mm, numbered on the rim 1399, second style ribbon, pinback full-wrap brooch. 2) Army Cuban Occupation medal, bronze, 32 mm, numbered 5566 on the rim, pinback full-wrap brooch. 3) Army Philippine Campaign medal, bronze, 33 mm, marked No. 202 on the rim, pinback full-wrap brooch, with ribbon bar. 4) Beautifully detailed pair of colonel's eagle rank insignia, 51 mm, matching in design but not construction. One eagle marked sterling and with a barrel catch; the other unmarked with a C clasp.

William Miller Wallace enlisted as a 1st Lieutenant on March 29, 1864 and was commissioned into the New York 13th Heavy Artillery. After the war he served in various positions rising through the ranks, appointed Colonel of the 15th U.S. cavalry in 1901 and retired a Brig. General after 40 years of service in 1906.

Condition: All examples in very good condition.
