Description
Ainsworth Inspected U.S. Colt Single Action Army Revolver.Serial no. 14913 [frame, triggerguard and butt]. .45 caliber, 4 3/4-inch cut-down barrel with fixed front sight and frame notch rear sight. Two-line, two-date patent and U.S. stamped to left side of frame. .45 CAL. / B to left side of triggerbow. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1874.
Condition: Good as configured and cleaned. Overall showing scattered signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood, with some loss at corners. Overall, the markings are spurious. U.S. is extremely faint. Ejector rod is loose. Action needs adjustment. Pitted bore.
