Description
U.S. Smith & Wesson First Model Schofield Single Action Revolver.Serial no. 8702 [butt and cylinder], .44 caliber, 7-inch ribbed barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Nickel-plated finish. Schofield's patent dates to right side of barrel. Case-hardened hammer. Smooth grip panels. U.S. stamped to butt.
Condition: Very good as configured. Retaining approximately 75-80% finish with noticeable areas of age, handling wear, pitting and flaking. Cracks and some loss present to grip panels. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
