Description
Colt Model 1849 Pocket Percussion Revolver.Serial no. 228234 [barrel, frame, triggerguard and butt> and 28234 [cylinder], .31 caliber, 5-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Etched cylinder scene. COLTS / PATENT to left side of frame. Brass gripstraps. Smooth walnut one-piece grip. Manufactured in 1863.
Condition: Very good as refinished. Showing scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Few minor scuffs present to wood. Action not working. Moderately pitted bore.
