Description
Desirable Colt Lightning Small Frame Slide Action Rifle AKA CLMR (Colt Lightning Magazine Rifle) with British Proofs.Serial no. 13855, .22 caliber, 24-inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. Blued finish. British proof marks to left side of barrel and receiver. Rampant Colt logo engraved to left side of receiver. Smooth walnut straight stock and checkered fore-end. Checkered factory hard rubber butt. Manufactured in 1890.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 60-70% of finish, with thinning to relief edges, scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs, dings and scratches present to wood. Action crisp. Strong bore. Property from the James R. Glascock Collection.
