Description
Colt Frontier Six Shooter Single Action Revolver with Leather Holster.Serial no. 123370 [frame, triggerguard and butt], .44 caliber, 4-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and frame notch rear sight. Nickel-plated finish. Three-line, three-date patent. Mother-of-pearl grip panels. Carved longhorn head with faux ruby eyes too left panel. Manufactured in 1887. Contained in unmarked leather holster with City Marshal badge.
Condition: Excellent as refinished and modified. Overall showing scattered handling wear, fine scratches and fine patches of pitting. Number 7 in each serial number appears to have been stamped over a pre-existing zero. Tracking line to cylinder. Ejector rod and housing absent. Grips excellent. Action good. Moderately pitted bore. Normal age cracking and discoloration to leather.
